"The system is a very good idea. Sadly the experience was very mixed. 1. How does someone on their own phone 20 mins before arrival. Using a mobile phone whilst driving is illegal. Luckily there were 2 of us so the phone call was made. There was no reply so I left a message. On arrival there was no one to greet us. After a wait we phoned again. The phone was answered by a man who, rather rudely, said that as we had not phoned at the required time we would have to wait. We said we had left a message & were told we should not have done so & should have rung again. How were we to know this? We waited some time, nearly 1/2 hr in all, before a friendly gentleman arrived & we were able to make our way into the airport. 2. On our return our plane was diverted to the South terminal so we made the phone call when we had got to the place in the North terminal where it would have been made had landing gone according to plan. There was no reply, neither, we noted was there a message facility anymore! We phoned a 2nd time , again, no reply. On the 3rd phone call & a voice said " this number is unobtainable". Almost immediately we were called back by a man who said that he had noticed the incoming call. We explained that we were late because of the plane diversion but were ringing now we had got to the place where the call should be made, we were informed that we should have rung earlier & would have to wait 15mins. This turned out to be a very long 15 mins, about 1/2 hr. Thankfully the gentleman who came with the car was very pleasant. Basically, the organisation & person skills of the organisers need some attention before I would consider recommending the service to anyone. The risks of being late into the airport or late getting home for no good reason are too great."
